Tour Itinerary

DAY1. Arrive to Bayan-Ílgii Province. The westernmost and highest part of Mongolia. Bayan-Ílgii famous for their hospitality and ancient eagle hunting culture. At the airport, you will meet your support team including yourEnglish-speaking tour guide, cook, mountain guide and driver with his 4x4 vehicle. Drive to Oigor Valley (east gate of the national park)

DAY2. Hiking to Basecamp of Altai Tavan Bogd National Park. All baggage and camping and cooking equipment will be transported by camel. Lunch will be served half way with a nice view. Stay the night in a tent.

DAY3. Climbing to one of famous peaks:  Malchin (4050m) . It is located close to Russian border, and the climb to the top does not require any climbing equipment. From here enjoy a view of mountains in both Russia and China. The trip takes about 7 hours.  Explore Potanin Glacier.

DAY4-6. Clmb to Huiten Peak. 4-5 personuse one rope supported by a local mountain guide.

DAY7. Hikingdown along White River valley (south gate of the national park). Meet the local Tuvan people who have their own language and religion: Shamanism.

DAY8. Drive back to Ílgii. On the way visit a Kazakh eagle hunter’s family and explore the training of the Sky lord (eagle). Enjoy the hospitality of the nomadic lifestyle. Drive to Ílgii stay in a hotel.  Farewell dinner at a local Restaurant

Day 9. Fly back to Ulaanbaatar
